Privacy policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026 · Version 1.5
This page explains what TurboProc collects, why, where it lives, and the rights you have over it. This policy applies to turboproc.com and to TurboProc Scope, our expert AI procedure optimization tool, available on the App Store for iPhone. TurboProc is the data controller. If you have any question this page doesn't answer, email [email protected].
Summary, in plain terms
We collect the minimum information needed to provide the service and follow up by email about your experience. We don't sell your data and we don't advertise against it. When you analyze a procedure in TurboProc Scope, the SOP text and certain still images from the camera are sent to Google Gemini for AI processing, that is what powers the analysis. Neither TurboProc nor Google stores that content after the request completes; that procedure content stays on your device. We do collect the contact details you give us, your subscription and app-usage events, and the identifiers needed to attribute your install — described in full below.
1. What we collect
1.1 Information you give us
TurboProc Scope does not require an account — there is no sign-up or login. The information in this category is what you choose to give us through our website forms or by corresponding with us:
- Name, work email, company name, role title.
- Plant size band (e.g. "100–250 employees"), industry NAICS code, city and state of the plant.
- Optional free-text description of your hardest line.
We use this to respond to you and tailor follow-up emails to the audience and industry you're in. The legal basis is your consent (you typed it into our form) and our legitimate interest in running the service.
1.2 Business contact information from third-party sources
For our business-to-business outreach, we obtain professional contact information — name, work email address, job title, company name, company size and industry, and business location — from licensed business-contact databases. We use it solely to send relevant professional outreach about TurboProc Scope to people in manufacturing operations roles. We never obtain or use consumer/personal contact data this way. Every such email includes a working unsubscribe link (one click, no login), and an unsubscribe permanently stops our outreach to that address. You can also ask us to delete this information entirely — see turboproc.com/delete-account. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in reaching the professional audience the product serves.
1.3 Information the iPhone app sends for AI processing
When you run a procedure analysis in TurboProc Scope, three categories of data leave your device temporarily for AI processing:
- SOP / procedure text. The steps, notes, and structured procedure content you have entered or imported are sent to Google Gemini's API to generate the analysis.
- Camera images. Selected still frames captured during the procedure session are sent to Google Gemini's API as part of the same analysis request.
- Timing data. Step-level timing measurements recorded during the procedure session are sent to Google Gemini's API as part of the analysis.
This transmission is necessary to run the AI analysis, Google Gemini processes the content and returns results to the app. Neither TurboProc nor Google retains this content after the API request completes. TurboProc's own servers never receive or store your SOP content or procedure images. The full session recording (video), the per-step analysis results, and all other procedure data remain on your device, under your control. Treat on-device captures the same way you would treat any other sensitive data on the iPhone the app is installed on.
1.4 Information we collect automatically when you visit turboproc.com
- Standard server log fields: IP address, browser user-agent, referring URL, timestamp, requested URL.
- Our form-intake service records the IP and user-agent of the submitting device on the canonical event row, used for abuse prevention.
We do not use third-party advertising trackers or fingerprinters on turboproc.com. We use a cookieless, privacy-respecting analytics tool to count page views and measure which pages lead to app installs. It sets no cross-site cookies and collects no advertising identifiers.
1.5 Subscription and purchase information
TurboProc Scope offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (FAST and FASTER) sold through Apple's in-app purchase. Apple processes all payments — we never receive your credit-card or payment details. To operate your subscription, keep your subscription records in sync, and send the lifecycle messages described in our terms, we receive subscription lifecycle events — such as a purchase, renewal, cancellation, billing issue, or refund — from Apple's App Store Server Notifications and App Store Server API. These events are linked to your install identifier and stored on our servers. The app also keeps your subscription status and monthly AI Optimization Report usage on your device to determine which reports you can view. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
1.6 App identifiers and product-usage information
So we can understand which of our outreach and content actually helps operators find TurboProc Scope, and send the right onboarding and account messages, the app sends a small amount of information to TurboProc's servers:
- App and attribution identifiers. A randomly generated install identifier (also used as the Apple app account token tied to your subscription) and, when you arrive through one of our links, an attribution code that connects your install to the message or campaign that referred you.
- Product-usage events. Coarse, non-content events — for example, opening the app, creating your first report, or viewing the subscription screen. These tell us you are getting value; they never include your SOP content, your video, or your analysis results.
We use a deep-link and install-attribution provider (Branch) solely to measure which referral led to an install. We do not use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not share this data with advertising networks or data brokers.
2. How we use it
- To provide App Store access and send the small number of follow-up emails described in our terms of service.
- To improve TurboProc Scope based on feedback you provide directly.
- To stay in compliance with applicable law (e.g. responding to a valid legal request).
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell your information to anyone.
- We do not store your SOP content or procedure images on TurboProc's servers. They are sent to Google Gemini solely to perform the analysis you requested, and are not retained after the request completes.
- We do not access the session video you capture on your device, and we do not receive the per-step analysis results that the app stores locally.
- We do not use your procedure content or images to train AI models, ours or Google's. Google's API terms prohibit using API inputs to train or improve their models.
- We do not run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or behavioral profilers on turboproc.com.
- We do not use AI personas to claim to be human. See /about-our-ai.
4. Where it lives
- Account profile and event log. Managed Postgres database (US region).
- Subscription, usage, and attribution records. Subscription lifecycle events, app-usage events, and install/attribution identifiers, stored in the same managed Postgres database (US region); raw provider payloads in US-region object storage.
- Form intake. Edge serverless platform that writes to the database directly.
- Email. Business email service for sender side; transactional email service for outbound sends; per-email bounce/click metadata kept 30 days.
- Marketing CRM. Account information may be forwarded to a marketing CRM account we control for communication and follow-up purposes.
5. Who we share it with
Only the categories of service providers listed below. Each is bound by a written data-processing agreement that prohibits using your data for their own purposes. We do not have advertising partners and we do not have a "data partner" tier.
- Managed-database hosting, edge serverless compute, business and transactional email, marketing CRM. Account and contact data as described in sections 1.1–1.6.
- Google Gemini API (Google LLC). SOP / procedure text and selected procedure images are transmitted to Google's Gemini API to power the in-app AI analysis. Google processes this content to return results and does not retain it after the request completes. Google's API usage policies prohibit using API inputs to train or improve their models. Google is acting as a data processor on our behalf for this limited purpose. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
- Apple (Apple Inc.). Processes subscription payments and sends us subscription lifecycle events (purchase, renewal, cancellation, billing issue, refund) through App Store Server Notifications and the App Store Server API, so we can keep your account current and send the messages described in our terms. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Branch (Branch Metrics, Inc.). Provides the deep-link and install-attribution measurement that ties an install to the referring message. Branch acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not receive your SOP content, video, or analysis results. See Branch's Privacy Policy.
6. How long we keep it
- Contact details, subscription, usage, and event log: for as long as we have an active relationship with you (an active subscription, ongoing correspondence, or outreach you have not opted out of), plus 12 months after deletion for fraud and dispute resolution. Then permanently deleted.
- Email logs (bounce, click): 30 days, then aggregated.
- Backups: rolling 30-day retention; deletion requests propagate within 30 days.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have any or all of the following rights. We honor these requests for everyone, regardless of jurisdiction.
- Right to access, get a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to correction, correct anything that's wrong.
- Right to deletion, ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten") — see turboproc.com/delete-account.
- Right to portability, get a machine-readable copy of your data.
- Right to object, object to specific processing (e.g. ask not to be emailed).
- Right to opt out of sale, moot, since we do not sell data.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected] from the email address on your account. We respond within 30 days.
8. Children
TurboProc Scope is a B2B product. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the service, email [email protected] and we will delete the data.
9. International transfers
Our infrastructure is primarily US-based. If you access the service from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US. By using the service, you consent to that transfer.
10. Security
We use TLS for everything in transit and AES-256 at rest. Database access is restricted to a small number of named team members. We log administrative access to your data. No internet service can be perfectly secure; if we discover a breach affecting your information, we will notify you within 72 hours of confirming it.
11. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will email everyone with an active account at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Changes that only clarify existing language don't trigger a notice.
12. Contact
All privacy and general questions: [email protected].
